Neurodiversity inclusive.

We welcome you and your child to explore the wonders of Orkestai Farm in our pilot growers class for wee ones! We will follow a nature inspired weekly rhythm of gardening, free play, a healthy snack offering over a supportive parenting dialogue, summer circle time and puppet show. Concluding our time together will be a stroll around the farm and a visit with the chickens! Our Organic Growers will be woven into the program as assistants.

About the farm: Orkestai believes that human beings can have a regenerative relationship in reciprocity with our shared Earth. Their focus is on tools (an extension of hands) rather than machinery (human replacement). The human-scale allows for bio intensive cultivation and a safe, peaceful, and community oriented atmosphere.

About the Parent/Child Teacher:

Maria Maragos is a Waldorf trained parent and child teacher inspired to create a space for families to make meaningful connections with each other and the world around them. A Long Island native, mother of two and Orkestai Farm volunteer.

** FINANCIAL INCLUSION POLICY:

Orkestai Farm is deeply rooted in the belief that wholesome, local, and organically grown produce should be available to everyone; this also includes access to quality agricultural and arts programming.  Nevertheless, we acknowledge the many challenges that arise in translating this belief from theory to practice.  We invite anyone interested in joining our community to contact us, regardless of their socio-economic circumstances or other factors.
