Parent-Child Farm Circle
For children ages 1–3 accompanied by a parent, grand-parent or caregiver
Come enjoy the fresh air and step into the seasonal rhythms of Orkestai Farm with your little one! Our morning begins with light farm work, leading into joyful free play with earths elements of sand, mud, and water. Next, we gather for a wholesome snack and inspired conversation, concluding with a sweet circle of seasonal songs, fingerplays, and a puppet show.
At its heart, Farm Circle is a welcoming community where families slow down to connect with the soil, the fields, and each other. Come explore the rows of vegetables, fruits, herbs and flowers, share in the hands-on experience of the land, and enjoy a rich sensory environment together under the open sky.
Families are warmly welcome to bring a picnic lunch and/or explore the farm independently after class.

About the farm: Orkestai believes that human beings can have a regenerative relationship in reciprocity with our shared Earth. Their focus is on tools (an extension of hands) rather than machinery (human replacement). The human-scale allows for bio intensive cultivation and a safe, peaceful, and community oriented atmosphere.
About the Parent/Child Teacher:
Maria Maragos is a Waldorf trained Parent- Child teacher inspired to create a space for families to make meaningful connections with each other and the world around them. A Long Island native, mother of two, and Orkestai Farm community member.
Join us for a welcoming and gentle weekly farm gathering for little ones and their caregivers.

Nevertheless, we acknowledge the many challenges that arise in translating this belief from theory to practice.
