Ways to Participate
Orkestai Farm is focusing our efforts on our roots—land, nature and farm-based programming. This allows us to devote our energy to curating high-quality, unique education and embodied experiences. Come participate and feel the power of nature to foster community.
In addition to our core Organic Growers Course, here are a few of our programs that we have lined up. Their details will be announced over the ensuing months.
Herb and Flower Shares—Come to the farm weekly and make a bouquet to your heart’s delight and enjoy the beauty and respite.
Pop-Up Markets—This market will be in lieu of the CSA. On Fridays beginning in June; we’ll make announcements when the farm is selling its hyperlocal fresh produce. Unlike the CSA, the pop-up market is open to the public and there’s no committment. Just make sure you’re on our mailing list so you’re in the know.
Markets will typically be from 9AM-1PM on Fridays.
Our Farm Card will gladly be accepted. In conjunction with the flower and herb shares, you can recieve a 10% discount.
Community Days—Free and open to the public, one Saturday a month, we’ll share farm work and movement practices together.
Parent and Child Class—A farm and nature experience designed for young children and their caregivers, led by Maria Maragos a Waldorf-trained educator.
Farm Fit—A special class that will take place outdoors and provides a distinctive blend of farm activities with a special focus on whole-body health and fitness.
FINANCIAL INCLUSION POLICY:
Orkestai Farm is deeply rooted in the belief that wholesome, local, and organically grown produce should be available to everyone; this also includes access to quality agricultural and arts programming. Nevertheless, we acknowledge the many challenges that arise in translating this belief from theory to practice. We invite anyone interested in joining our community to contact us, regardless of their socio-economic circumstances or other factors.
