Community Supported Agriculture 2026
This season brings more engagement with the farm and its people through a Harvest -Your-Own model!
What is a CSA?
CSA stands for Community Supported Agriculture. A CSA is a reciprocal partnership between a local farm and the community. At Orkestai Farm CSA Members become active participants in their local food system by investing in a “share”, and sharing in the farm! Every week from May to October members are provided with seasonal regeneatively grown vegetables grown at the farm. Members also volunteer and learn during Community Days and other events, are passionate about how their food is grown, and care deeply about their Earth and each other. Please carefully read the information below before deciding to join our CSA.
Why Choose to be part of Orkestai’s CSA?
Enjoy a diverse, unique, flavorful, fresh, colorful assortment of seasonal produce. Receive updates, recipes and tips from our weekly newsletters. Click here to see pictures of previous CSA shares.
Be part of a thriving community and meet new people who also support local farmers and the local economy.
Invest in a share and you’ll enjoy a significant discount compared to buying local organic produce from the farmer’s market or grocery store.
Connect with your Community and your food. Being a part of your food system is empowering and fun!
Access and enjoy the beautiful grounds of the Planting Fields Arboretum the day of your farm pickup.
Pick all the herbs and flowers for your household
If you’re not ready for a weekly share of veggies, you can also sign up just for the herbs and flower share.
What past members have to say….
Here are just a sample of the feedback we’ve received over the years.
“We had a great first year as CSA members! THANK YOU!!!”
“I had such a lovely experience going to your farm each week. It always engaged me to take a step back from a busy day and slowdown in a peaceful & exciting space.”
“I think you did a great job this year everything was great.”
“I had some really nice conversations while I was choosing my herbs. I loved hearing some of the kids interacting with their elders and seeing them pick stuff together. Your staff & volunteers were lovely. Always upbeat and friendly.”
Harvest Your Own
Inspired by our community, hands-on, embodied mission and ethos, Orkestai Farm CSA members who come on Fridays can choose to play an integral role in harvesting their own vegetables.
We grow the vegetables and you get the satisfaction of picking them! Harvesting allows members a visceral and somatic gardening experience that involves being outside in nature and interacting with our staff, students and volunteers.

The farm will provide many supplies and tools such as pitch forks, rubber-bands, bags, cartons, and crates. We ask members to bring the following. The links are just suggestions.
